The example extension cpp in the osquery example folder does not build if I place it in the externals folders Are they no longer up to date or is there some other method of building them

Yes but I think it s still on our repo because it has to be uncoupled from other changes we did that cannot yet go in

Meaning the example extensions will not compile as is right now and doesn t have it s own CMakeLists txt to compile
